Why art heals, it is in the process of painting or sculpting of basically creating anything, we find our self faced with the clouds of emotions that take hold of us, for me doubt comes first, you are not a painter or an artist, the voice says you are an imposter wanna be, the soul aches with desire to just release not only the doubtful voice but all the personas that live in my head that feed that narrative.
I release.
I am free to play with this space with no judgment, add brush stroke after the next not quite knowing a destination.
The voice again says, oh yara how wasteful, you are just wasting your productive time, go send an email or maybe two.
I release not only this moment but I release the narrative that says I have to be heading somewhere, what if I don’t know. Or I don’t yet.
And I free myself of destination syndrome, what if life just like art is meant to be revealed less created.
And for a moment. I flow, I flow in space of no judgment. I flow in a timeless moment, I flow with the skies I am painting and knowing that the light is with in the painting not coming from the outside.
I paint the skies and I know that it’s the layering and it’s the reveal. Life reveals itself, through letting go of layers of conditioning clouding existence.
A healing truth erupts, the light is from with it, the knowledge is from within we just need to clean the screens of which we see ourselves and the world from.
And in this second a notification pings, although I have silenced my phone.
I will step back from the canvas to assume my role of today and see what it brings.
But knowing for a fact that I have freed myself from doubt from goal oriented living from imposter syndrome, if only for today.
